Policies, Terms & Conditions & Service Support for DIY (SELF Assembly) Package on Bikes sold by gpbikes PTE LTD.

We are the Authorised Distributor for DAHON Products in Singapore. We will provide technical support with DAHON Original spare parts ONLY on bikes sold by us. 


Please note that DAHON has made a Global announcement where the warranty registration on DAHON's website can only be done through the authorised distributor.


Any purchase of DAHON Products from sellers who are NOT mentioned on DAHON's official Distributor webpage will not be entitled to the warranty & service support provided by DAHON & us. More Information on the Policies, T&Cs can be found below.


We offer two different packages of DAHON products, DIY (SELF-ASSEMBLED) & Fully Setup Packages. The DIY Package would come at a distribution or lower price as there would be no setup by us. This DIY package is typically intended for customers who are avid riders and are well versed in setting up and assembling a DAHON Folding bike, as well as bicycle resellers who purchase it for a variety of purposes. 


If you are NOT a trained technician or unsure about setting up the bike on your own, we will strongly advise customers to purchase the Fully Setup package as there will be risks involved if the DAHON bike is setup by an untrained technician. We recommend In-Store Pickup for the Fully Setup package, as training on how to use the bike will be provided along with some briefing on safety procedures which customers need to know.

Please note that the bike is sold in a DIY or SELF Assembly Package, details of which can be found below. If you are unsure about setting up the bike on your own, we recommend bringing it to the Service Center (UNOPENED) for setup.


  1. After placing an order, we will contact the customer on the relevant Policies and T&Cs on the DIY (SELF-ASSEMBLY) Package.
    • Customers will also need to take note of Lazada's policies when purchasing from Lazada's platform.

  2. Warranty & Service Support with Original DAHON Spare Parts will be provided by DAHON and the Service Center sold by us if needed.
    (Charges Apply, Subject to T&C and availability of Components.)
    • Please keep in mind that DAHON has made a worldwide announcement that they will only provide warranty and service support on DAHON Products purchased from an authorised distributor. DAHON products purchased from other sources or sellers are not covered by the warranty and service support provided by DAHON and the Authorised Distributor.

  3. KINDLY NOTE THAT THE SELF-ASSEMBLY PACKAGE IS STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CUSTOMERS WHO ARE NOT WELL VERSED IN SETTING UP & ASSEMBLING A DAHON FOLDING BIKE!!!

    • ATTENTION: Before your first ride, you must have your DAHON Bicycle checked and adjusted by a professional bicycle technician. This final adjustment will activate your warranty and ensure that your bicycle is optimally adjusted for safety and performance.
      • Please note that if the bicycle is not setup by a DAHON trained technician, DAHON will not activate the warranty for the bicycle.

    • The SELF-ASSEMBLY package is sold at a distribution price and is typically intended for customers who are avid riders and are well versed in setting up and assembling a DAHON Folding bike, as well as bicycle resellers who purchase it for a variety of purposes.

    • If the customer is NOT well versed with the setting up, assembly, folding and unfolding process of the DAHON bicycle, it will cause server damages to the bicycle frame and components, which will affect the rider's safety and performance.
      • Kindly note that damages to the bicycle frame & components caused by untrained technicians are NOT replaceable & NOT claimable.
      • In most cases, the warranty of the bicycle will be voided.
      • For more information, please refer to Point Number 5.

    • Please DO NOT assume that the factory has done all the necessary, checking, tuning, adjustments, alignments, setting up & assembly on the bike when taken straight out of the box and no additional setting up & assembly is needed for the bike.
      • DAHON stated that the bicycle must be setup by a trained DAHON technician for safety and riding before riding.
      • Refer to Point Number 5 to understand the risks involved if the DAHON Bike is not setup & assembled by a DAHON Trained Technician & more information on the SELF-ASSEMBLY DAHON Bikes.

    • Setting up & assembling a DAHON Bicycle by a trained DAHON Technician will be under the customer's own expenses. Please refer to Point Number 6 if you would wish to have the bike setup by the service center.
      • Please keep in mind that if the bike is fully setup by the service centre, it will not be available for Lazada delivery because the fully setup bike will be able to fit back into the original box.

  4. There will likely be issues with the bicycle if it is not setup by a trained DAHON Technician.

    • By Purchasing the DIY or SELF-ASSEMBLY Package, the customer understands the RISKS involves without getting a DAHON Trained Technician to setup & assemble the bike as stated below in Point number 5.

    • Please keep in mind that there are risks involved in terms of safety and performance if the customer does not want the bike to be setup and assembled by a DAHON Trained Technician and that purchasing the SELF-ASSEMBLY Package is done at the customer's own risk. 
      • Kindly refer to Point Number 6 on the charges & required setting up & assembly process done by the service centre.

  5. Things to TAKE NOTE for SELF ASSEMBLY Package as shown & mentioned below.

    • KINDLY NOTE THAT THE SELF-ASSEMBLY PACKAGE IS STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CUSTOMERS WHO ARE NOT WELL VERSED IN SETTING UP & ASSEMBLING A DAHON FOLDING BIKE!!!

    • There will likely be issues with the bicycle if it is not setup by a trained DAHON Technician.

    • Please keep in mind that there are risks involved for safety and performance if the customer does not want the bike to be setup and assembled by a DAHON Trained Technician, and that purchasing the SELF-ASSEMBLY Package is done at the customer's own risk.
      • Setting up & assembling a DAHON Bicycle by a trained DAHON Technician will be under the customer's own expenses. Please refer to Point Number 6 if you would wish to have the bike setup by the service center.

    • By Purchasing the DIY or SELF ASSEMBLY package, the customer understands the RISK Involves for SELF-ASSEMBLY as stated below.

    • Please note that tutorial videos circulating online on how to assemble and setup a DAHON Bicycle by just installing pedals is only a mere 5% of the entire setting up and assembly job required. Additional checks and adjustments on a DAHON bike need to be done by a DAHON Trained Technician.

    • The customer MUST know how to properly fold and unfold the DAHON folding bike. Otherwise, the frame and components will be damaged.
      • Replacements for damaged parts & key components will be charged accordingly on top of the basic charges required.

    • If the customer is NOT well versed with the setting up, assembly, folding and unfolding process of the DAHON bicycle, it will cause server damages to the bicycle frame and components, which will affect the rider's safety and performance.
      • Kindly note that damages to the bicycle frame & components caused by untrained technicians are NOT replaceable & NOT claimable.
      • In most cases, the warranty of the bicycle will be voided.

    • In the original packaging, there will only be the bike.
      (There will be no additional or complementary accessories included.)

    • Pedals and possibly other components are not installed on the bike.

    • A small box containing the pedals and possibly some other components required for installation on the bike will be included in the original bike packaging. Please ensure that you are equipped with the appropriate tools for the job.
      (There will be no additional or complementary accessories or tools given.)

    • The bicycle are likely not tuned & some alignments might be out.

    • Tyres and inner tube are not inflated, Kindly note that the bike is unrideable straight out of the box. Please ensure that the appropriate amount of air pressure is pumped without exceeding it and all necessary adjustments & components installation are done properly.

    • Please note that we will NOT be responsible if the bike is not properly tuned, having alignments issues, improper installation of components, missing components, damaged items or any other problems that might surface for bikes sold at DIY or Self-Assembly Package.

    • We will not be responsible for damages to the bike, the packaging, or any other issues that occur as a result of bad delivery by the delivery company. We will ensure that the box packaging is in good condition when handing over to the delivery company.
      • There will be no replacement parts, componments or Bicycle under the DIY or SELF-ASSEMBLY Package.

    • DIY or Self-Assembly packages are sold in sealed packaging. There will be no immediate opening of the box in front of the service centre by the customer for inspection and other reasons if the customer chooses Self-Collection. Inspection of DIY or Self-Assembly packages will be considered as full setup by the service center and an additional charge of $100 will incur.

    • Please note that gpbikes is the service center for the products we sell and not the warranty center. Any from of manufacturing defect which needs to be claimed under DAHON's warranty scheme, please contact DAHON directly. Contact information can be found in DAHON’s website.

    • Please refer to Point Number 7 on Bike Services & Repairs for Bikes sold as DIY or Self-Assembly Packages.

  6. If you are unsure of how to set up the bike on your own, PLEASE bring it to the service centre (UNOPEN in the box) for setup. Charges Apply as shown and mentioned below.
    (Additional charges apply depending on the job scope)

    • Setting up & assembling a DAHON Bicycle by a trained DAHON Technician will be under the customer's own expenses.

    • The Setting up & Assembly process done by the Service Center involves, tuning, disc brake alignments, wheel alignments, handlebar alignment, folding mechanism adjustments, spoke tension checks, headset adjustments, seatpost sleeve adjustments and inner tubes checks. Thus additional charges incur for setting up as a DAHON trained technician is required to do the job. Recommended for self collection if you would like the service center to setup the bike as there will be training provided on how to fold and use the bike along with some safety procedures.

    • Setting up the bike will be charged separately at $100 per bike via paynow, subjected to no missing parts or critical components when the bike is brought to the service centre.We will not install parts & components not sold by us on the bike as it is considered as modification and customization & warranty may be voided.

    • If bicycle box is opened when brought back to the service center for setting up, any missing parts or damaged items when visiting the service centre for setting up will be charged in addition to the bike setup fee.

    • Additional charges may apply if problems arise as a result of the bike being setup by an untrained or unauthorised technician. The Service Center retains the right to deny bike service based on the severity of the incident.

    • Tuning, brake alignments, various joint inspections and adjustments, as well as checking on critical and vital areas on the bike will be done during the setting up and assembly process by the service center.

    • After purchasing, the customer understands the RISKS involved, as well as the policies, Terms and Conditions as mentioned for the DIY (SELF-ASSEMBLY) Package.

    • Please Make an Appointment with the Service Center if you wish to have the bike setup by them, as setup time will be required.

  7. For DIY or SELF ASSEMBLY Bikes, the first visit to the service centre for tuning, brake alignments, and checking will be from $100 onwards, and subsequent visits will be from $60 onwards when needed.
    (Charges varies on the Job-scope.)
    • The first visit do not include labour, repairs, components replacements and other items. Similarly for the subsequent visits. Any form of additional bike services and repairs needed will be charged accordingly on top of the basic charges.

  8. Basic Charges for Tuning, Brake Alignments & Checking on bikes that have been fully setup by the service center will be from $30 onwards for the first 6 months and $60 onwards subsequently when needed.
    (Charges varies on the Job-scope.)
    • The basic charges do not include labour, repairs, components replacements and other items. Any form of additional bike services and repairs needed will be charged accordingly on top of the basic charges.

  9. Scratches & cosmetic unevenness on the frame & components due to various reasons on the bike are not covered in the warranty.
    • Scratches & Cosmetic Unevenness on frame and components on the bike are non-returnable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable.

  10. All bicycles sold are non-returnable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable.

  11. Please Make an Appointment with the Service Center for Bike Services.
    • Please show your receipt or Invoice number on the purchase of the bike from us.

    • Kindly note that the service centre will not attend to bikes without a receipt or invoice number.

  12. After placing an order, the customer acknowledges and understands the risks involved in the DIY or SELF-ASSEMBLY Package when setting up and assembling the bike without a Trained DAHON Technician, and agrees to and understands our Policies, Terms, and Conditions.

  13. If problems arise after the bike had been serviced by an untrained technician, another bike shop, or done personally for modification, repairs, change of parts & components, We will not be responsible for the issues which happen to the bike and the Warranty may be voided.
    • Additional diagnosis fee will be charged for rectifying the issue.
      • Charges vary depending on the seriousness of the issue. 
      • This diagnosis fee will not include any labour or components replacement.
    • We reserve the right to reject the bike based on the seriousness of the situation.

  14. We will only attend to the bike in its original condition and specification when sold to the customer.

  15. In no event shall gpbikes PTE LTD will be liable to any customer who purchased the bike from us or to any third party for any loss or injury, or for any special, direct, indirect, incidental, exemplary, or consequential losses or damages of any kind or nature arising directly or indirectly out of the bike purchased from gpbikes PTE LTD.

  16. If needed, annual maintenance for bikes will be from $60 onwards. This falls under Bicycle Services & Repairs.
    • Annual Maintenence will only be charged at $60 after the first visit as stated in Point Number 7.
    • Charges for Annual maintenance include Diagnosis, tuning, brake alignment & Joint checking.
    • These charges do not include additional labour or component replacements.
    • Please refer to Bicycle Services & Repairs for more information.

  17. For Bicycle Services & Repairs Please Make an Appointment with us before coming down to deposit your bike. 
    • There will be NO Instant or Urgent service.
    • Bicycle Services and Repairs ranging from at least 3 days to 1 week.
      • Additional time may be required depending on the order of the queues and the scope of the job.
    • Please bring along your receipt.
    • We will not attend to bikes without a receipt.
    • Strictly no Servicing & Repair services on Weekends & Public Holidays.

  18. Kindly Note that these policies do not apply to Second Hand Bikes.

  19. After purchasing, the customer understands the RISKS involved, as well as the policies, Terms and Conditions as mentioned for the DIY (SELF-ASSEMBLY) Package.

We will not be held liable for bicycles that have been modified, tuned, repaired, or serviced by other bicycle shops, untrained technicians, or by the owner. Any issues that arise with the bike are the responsibility of the technician who attended to the bike and the owner. We reserve the right to refuse the bike based on the seriousness of the situation.

We will only provide our service & support or Bicycle Services & Repairs to the bike subjected to the availability of spare parts and components. Charges for parts and components replacements will be charged accordingly on top of the basic charges. This applies to both DAHON & Other bikes we are carrying. (Additional Repair & Labour fees may apply depending on the job scope.)

Walk-in requests will not be accepted. Please Make an Appointment with us before coming down to deposit your bike. There will be NO instant or Urgent Service as we will be attending to our customer's bikes according to queue order. Bike tuning within the first month or Bicycle Services & Repairs will be ranging from at least 3 days or more after the bike deposit. 

Please note that we will not install any 3rd parties components.

Strictly No Bicycle Services & Repairs of bikes on weekends.

Receipt must be shown upon the bike deposit. We will not provide any Services for bikes without receipt.

***Terms & Conditions for Bikes Purchased from gpbikes PTE LTD***

  • Strictly No Bicycle Services & Repairs bikes on weekends.
  • We only work on bikes sold by us.
  • We will not work on bikes that have been neglected where servicing will not help bike. Eg, rusty components, extremely dirty, etc........
  • Warranty will be voided if Bikes are neglected or use in a manner, not within the manufacturer's recommended use.
  • The bike must be in its original specifications and condition sold by us without any modifications, adjustments, adding additional weight beyond maximum specification, done personally or by other bike shops when brought back to us for tuning and brake adjustments within the first month.
  • Our staffs & technicians holds the decision on whether the issues arises with the bike is chargeable within the first month.
    • Minimum charges of $30 - $60 onwards when diagnosis is required.
  • Modifications, servicing & repairs done by other bike shops, untrained technicians or personally will be the bike owner's responsibility, this may result in the warranty being voided. We will not be liable if issues arise.
    • Changing tyres & inner tubes, tuning, adjustments, alignments, repairs, missing parts and other related issues done by an untrained technician, other bike shops or personally will be considered as modifications.
    • We have the right to reject depending on the seriousness of the issue with the bike.
  • Additional Diagnosing fees will be charged on top of the basic charges if modifications had been done to the bike. (This falls under Bicycle Services & Repairs.)
    • Diagnosing fees & basic charges are not refundable. 
    • We have the right to reject the bike for Bicycle Services & Repairs depending on the seriousness of the issue. 
  • Wear & Tear items, components damages, movable parts are not covered in the warranty. (Labour, Parts & Component Replacements falls under Bicycle Services & Repairs.)
  • We will not be liable for any lost or damaged accessories, components and other items which are installed on the bike when brought back to us for tuning within the first month.
  • If agreed upon, Installing of components and accessories not sold by us will be charged with labour fees. We will not be liable for any components & accessories lost or damages before, during and after the installation process.
  • There will be no warranty period for Bicycle Services & Repairs.
  • These terms & conditions do not apply to second-hand bike owners.
  • After the bike sold or deposit with us for our services, the bike owner agrees to our policies & terms & conditions.
